The questions you ask before you sign up, answered.

Straight answers about getting started, your familiar, pricing, systems, your data, Discord and the Marketplace. Still stuck on something? Ask us in Discord.

Loot

Revealing a hoard, claiming items and sharing the coins.

Can players claim loot in Discord?

Yes. /loot browse shows revealed loot privately, and each claim takes one item. Coins are easier to split with Distribute on the web.

Do players see the loot before I reveal it?

No. A hoard you deploy from a table starts hidden. Players see it, with a notice inside party pages, when you reveal it. Loot deployed by ending an encounter arrives revealed.

How does need or greed work?

Start a vote in Discord with /loot need-greed start. Players vote Need, Greed or Pass privately. Need beats greed, the highest roll wins, and the winner takes the whole stack. If everyone passes, the item stays in the pile.

How does the coin split work?

With Split currency evenly on (it is on by default), Distribute splits each coin type evenly among the characters you choose, and leftover coins go one each to random characters. Items stay whole, one character each.

Can I undo a claim?

Claims cannot be undone yet. The GM can move an item between characters in the party inventory to correct who holds it.

Shops

Stocking shops and buying and selling at the table.

Does it make up items?

No. Auto-Populate picks from public library items and your own items and suggests them; nothing goes on the shelf until you accept.

How does restocking work?

Set a restock interval in days. When it comes due, the shop re-rolls its stock from your list, replacing the previous stock. Scheduled restocks appear when you next load the shop and send no notification. The GM can also restock by hand, which updates open shop views and notifies the party.

Can players sell to a shop?

Yes. Any revealed shop buys items other than currency at its own offer rate, while it has the funds.

What if two players want the last one?

The first purchase gets it. The second player sees that the stock changed, and nobody is charged for an item they did not get.

Can players shop from Discord?

Yes, for the party: /shop buys and sells one item at a time through the party’s inventory and funds.

Inventory

Keeping track of items, coin and what your party carries.

Who can move what?

Players manage their own characters and the party stash, and can hand items to anyone in the party. The GM can move anything. Private character containers and their contents are hidden from other players.

How is carrying capacity set?

You set it: a max weight, max slots or max Bulk per character. ScryRPG adds up what they carry against it.

Does going over block anything?

Only if you turn on Enforce Encumbrance. Otherwise the bars warn and nothing is blocked, though a container's own limits still apply when an encumbrance mode is on.

Does it support PF2e Bulk?

Yes. Pick Bulk and items count in Bulk and Light. Ten Light items make 1 Bulk, and a thousand coins count as 1 Bulk.

Encounters

Preparing encounters and bringing them to your table.

How is difficulty worked out?

It uses the D&D 5e encounter rules: each monster’s XP, adjusted for how many there are, against the party size and level you enter, from Trivial to Deadly. It is an estimate; terrain and tactics still matter.

Does it run combat for me?

No. It keeps the initiative order and hit points. Ending the fight drops its attached loot, using one of your plan's loot drops. If you have none left this month, the fight still ends but the loot is not deployed. Turns, damage and conditions stay at your table.

Who rolls initiative?

Initiative is rolled for every creature when you deploy. Players add their own roll, from Discord or through the GM.

Lore

Writing pages, linking them and revealing them when your party earns it.

Can my players edit the wiki?

Players can read every revealed page, create pages and edit any page that is not GM-only. Only GMs and managers reveal or hide pages.

Can I get my lore out?

Yes. As the GM, export the campaign as an Obsidian-ready vault of linked Markdown pages.

Printable cards

Printing items, spells, monsters and more for the table.

What can I turn into a printable RPG card?

ScryRPG makes cards for items, creatures, lore NPCs, spells and abilities, and encounter overviews. Shops, loot sets, encounters, and authorized inventory can also send their contents to one complete card deck.

Can I make printable D&D item cards?

Yes. Weapons, armor, magic items, consumables, and other D&D 5e items can become printable cards with their useful rules and statistics. You can create your own items or start from content you have added to your campaign.

Do monster and NPC cards include full stat blocks?

Table reference creature cards keep core scores, defenses, movement, saves, senses, and compact trait and action names close at hand, with an optional QR link back to the authorized full entry. Choose Full rules when you want the complete longer text. A lore NPC always offers its player-facing identity and revealed lore as a handout; when authorized creature statistics are available, its mechanical reference is a separate card rather than the handout's reverse.

Can I print spell and ability cards?

Yes. Supported D&D and Pathfinder spells and Draw Steel hero abilities can become cards with the rules and game details players need at the table.

Can I print a whole encounter, shop, loot set, or inventory?

Yes. A complete encounter set can include its overview, authorized unique creatures, and attached loot. Shops, loot sets, and inventories add their authorized item contents as cards. The source container controls what belongs in the set.

Are card printing and export free?

Yes. Creating cards, printing them, exporting them, and including optional QR links are available on every plan. Plans differ in how many reusable card decks you can save to your account.

What do the optional QR links do?

Optional QR codes open the online entry, not a character’s copy. Party inventory cards carry no QR. Signed-out users cannot create links; protected entries keep their access rules.

Which card sizes and files can I use?

Choose compact poker cards or larger reference cards, then lay them out on Letter or A4 paper. You can use browser print, save a PDF, or export PNG faces and a ZIP of the deck. PNG and ZIP exports also offer MakePlayingCards and The Game Crafter bleed profiles at 300 DPI.

How many card decks can I save?

Free saves 1 reusable deck; Player saves 10 reusable decks; GM saves unlimited decks; Patron saves unlimited decks. Custom party card backs come with Patron. Printing and export remain available even when you do not save another deck.

Should I print a test sheet first?

Yes. Printers, paper, and margins vary. ScryRPG provides Letter and A4 layouts plus a calibration sheet, but one test sheet helps you check the size, crop marks, and any optional QR link before making the full deck.

Getting started

Making an account, bringing your table in, and what to do first.

Do players install anything?

No. ScryRPG runs in the browser, and players can add it to their home screen like an app.

How do I get started?

Make a free account and create a campaign. There is no required first step. A lot of GMs lead with import: paste a messy session log or drop in a PDF and watch ScryRPG pull out the people, places, items, and loose threads. You can also start fresh, set up a party, or add ScryRPG to Discord first.

Is ScryRPG a virtual tabletop?

No. ScryRPG keeps the campaign; your table runs the battle wherever it likes: theater of the mind, a VTT, or graph paper. The Foundry beta brings linked characters, inventory, coins, shops and loot into Foundry. Foundry VTT is in closed beta by invitation. Patrons get an invitation; anyone can ask in our Discord.

What happens after I import my notes?

You see what ScryRPG understood before anything is saved. Review the people, places, items, and threads it found, keep what you want, and it joins your campaign. A session recording you upload in the web app works the same way, and it is more than a transcript: the session comes back as structured campaign updates, with lore, quests, and locations incremented and a summary for the table, all behind the same review, so nothing lands until you confirm it. The Discord bot does not record voice.

Do my players need accounts?

Each player joins with their own free account. If your group lives in Discord, a player can run a command there and ScryRPG sets up their account for them, so nobody stops to fill out a sign-up form. They claim full web access whenever they want it.

Can I use ScryRPG solo, before I have a party?

Yes. Track your own character, keep your own notes, build your world, and run a campaign on your own, then bring your party in when you are ready. Nothing has to change when the rest of the table arrives; they join what you built.

Can I update my own sheet?

Yes. Your character is yours to edit: hit points, conditions, spells and notes. Your GM and party can see it. Sheet changes are not broadcast live to your GM.

Who can see my character notes?

Everyone in your party can read your character's notes. Keep table secrets in a private party note, which only you can read.

Do imports count toward AI usage?

Yes. Imports read your files with AI, so they count toward your monthly AI usage. If an import fails on our end, it doesn't count.

What can I import?

One importer takes your vault, files or pasted notes. Paste up to 150,000 characters, or upload PDF (text, not scans), CSV, XLSX, JSON, Markdown, TXT, or a ZIP of Markdown and text files such as an Obsidian vault, up to 10MB each. Session recordings upload separately.

Does anything change before I confirm?

No campaign content changes. The import shows a review first; nothing is added to your campaign until you confirm it.

Can I undo an import?

A GM or manager can undo a recap import. Edited or referenced records are kept and listed in the report. A whole-campaign vault import cannot be undone, so review it before you confirm.

What does an import cost?

Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month. Notes are enough for a recap; a recording is optional.

Are my notes used to train models?

We do not use your content to train our own models. Read the privacy policy’s AI Providers and Model Training section for how third-party providers process content.

Your familiar

What it does, how it stays grounded, and how to turn it off.

How does AI usage work for my familiar?

Everything your familiar does counts toward your monthly AI usage, from answering a question to updating your campaign. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

What is the familiar?

Your familiar is the part of ScryRPG that knows your campaign. It answers from what your campaign remembers, helps you prep, explains what your party is carrying or what an NPC has been up to, and makes changes when you ask. It knows the gold your rogue is carrying and the debt a shopkeeper still holds over them, not fantasy in general. See what it can do.

How does AI usage work for the familiar, and can I turn it off?

Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month. You can turn your familiar off. With it off, the rest of your campaign keeps working without it. Parties, characters, inventory, shops, loot, lore, and Discord all work by hand with no AI. Imports and session recordings use AI to read your files, with the familiar on or off.

How much does my familiar do on its own?

Your familiar works the way you want it to. Keep it as an advisor that answers questions about your campaign, make it a copilot that drafts changes for you to approve, or hand it the books as a co-manager that makes everyday changes for you and checks with you before anything big. You can change its role any time.

Can I change my familiar’s role?

You choose whether it answers questions, waits for your approval on changes, or handles everyday bookkeeping. New accounts start with changes off, and you can change its role any time.

How is my familiar different from ChatGPT?

You can use a general AI for brainstorming. Your familiar can also read the inventory, shops and lore your role can see, and make changes in your campaign with the permissions you choose. You don't have to copy the campaign into another chat.

What can my familiar see?

Only what your role in the party can see: players never get GM-only pages or GM notes, and hidden shops and loot stay hidden.

Pricing and AI usage

What is free, what the paid plans cost and add, and how AI usage and the special programs work.

Do my players have to pay?

No. The free plan covers one party and one character. Players in more campaigns can add the optional Player plan.

What happens when I hit a free limit?

Nothing you've made goes away. You'll see an upgrade prompt when you try to go past a limit, like opening a second shop.

Is it really free?

Yes. Free is not a trial: there is no time limit and no card required. Host 1 party, keep 1 active character and join 1 party. Free includes 1 live shop, 3 loot drops and 3 encounter deployments per month. Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

Is there a free trial?

No, because Free never ends. Free is the real product with no time limit, not a preview that ends. If you are curious about a paid plan, take it for a month and cancel whenever you like; you keep it until that month ends, then drop back to Free with everything you built.

How much does ScryRPG cost?

Free is $0 with no card required. Player is $5.99 a month, GM is $14.99 a month, and Patron is $29.99 a month, billed monthly. With annual billing, the monthly equivalents are $4.79, $11.99 and $23.99. Paid plans add AI usage and capacity; Patron also includes custom card backs. No. Your AI usage resets each month, and unused usage doesn't carry over.

What does upgrading buy?

Scale. Paid plans include more monthly AI usage and raise the capacity caps: unlimited characters and parties from Player up, and unlimited shops, loot drops, and encounters from GM up. Every paid plan carries an All for One token, and Patron adds One for All sponsorship and custom card backs. The game itself is never paywalled. Foundry VTT is in closed beta by invitation. Patrons get an invitation; anyone can ask in our Discord.

What is AI usage?

Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month. Everything AI counts, including questions you ask your familiar. Manual tools never do.

What happens when I reach my usage limit?

Every manual tool keeps working. When your monthly AI usage runs out, AI features pause until it resets.

Does unused AI usage roll over?

No. Your AI usage resets each month, and unused usage doesn't carry over.

Can I buy more AI usage?

Not separately. Higher plans include more monthly AI usage, and a Patron can share theirs with one party.

Does everyone at the table need to pay?

No. Free includes one party and one character. On monthly subscriptions, 3 All for One tokens lift the GM's shop, loot and encounter caps, and party and character caps, for that party. A Patron can sponsor 1 party they belong to: it stops counting against members' party and character caps. Patrons can share their AI usage with their party. Part of it is always kept for the Patron.

What is the difference between All for One and One for All?

On monthly subscriptions, each paid member gets 1 All for One token per billing period to allocate by hand. At 3 tokens, the GM's shop, loot and encounter caps, and party and character caps, lift for that party. A Patron can sponsor 1 party they belong to with One for All. That party stops counting against members' party and character caps. Patrons can share their AI usage with their party. Part of it is always kept for the Patron.

Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?

Yes. Upgrades start right away, and you pay the prorated difference for the rest of your billing period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect when the current period ends, so you keep what you paid for until then. Cancelling never deletes anything: your account returns to Free with everything you built intact. If you are over Free's caps you keep it all; you just cannot add more until you are back under them.

Systems

Which games ScryRPG is built for, and what works for the rest.

What systems do you support?

Dedicated character sheets and inventory for D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart and Draw Steel. The Draw Steel sheet shows Characteristics, Stamina and Recoveries. Lore, party, notes, shops, loot, imports, and your familiar work with any system, so your world is never locked to one rulebook. See system support.

Can I run a system you do not list?

Yes. Lore, party, notes, inventory, shops, loot, and your familiar work for any table, using custom items and flexible inventory rules. Only the dedicated character-sheet support is limited to D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart, and Draw Steel, because that is where we can do sheets properly. Everything around the sheet works for any game.

Does ScryRPG run the rules for me?

No. ScryRPG keeps your campaign organized and helps with the table work around it. Your group still decides how to apply the rules. It is the home for your campaign, not a rules engine.

Where do the monsters in the bestiary come from?

Bestiaries include D&D 5e SRD creatures, Pathfinder 2e creatures and Draw Steel creatures, with source attribution on their records. You can add your own monsters alongside them. See the encounter builder.

Which systems do encounters support?

Bestiaries and difficulty math are available for D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Draw Steel. New encounters start as D&D 5e; choose the system for the encounter you are building.

Can my players see monster hit points?

They see health bands: healthy, wounded, critical, down. You see the numbers, the stat blocks, and your tactics notes. And until you reveal an encounter, players do not see it at all; the filtering happens on the server, not the honor system.

Does ScryRPG support full D&D 5e character sheets?

Yes. D&D 5e has full support: sheets with stats, classes, and gear, weight-based inventory, item starts, shops, loot, and containers, all in one campaign.

How does inventory weight work for D&D 5e?

Gear carries weight, characters have a carrying capacity, and ScryRPG totals it so you know when someone is over. Coins and containers count too.

Can my players manage their own D&D gear?

Yes. Players keep their own sheets and inventory, claim their own loot, and shop the stores you stock. You stay in control of GM tools.

Does the D&D 5e support work in Discord?

Yes. Quick inventory checks run as Discord slash commands, and the web view stays in sync the moment anything changes.

Does ScryRPG track spell slots and concentration?

Yes. The Spells tab tracks slots for cantrips through level 9 with click-to-spend dots, and concentration is a first-class toggle. Starting a new concentration spell ends the old one and posts a reminder to the character conditions strip so the GM can see it.

Can I hide a magic item until the party identifies it?

Yes. Mark any item unidentified and players see only a mystery name and description, with an optional fake value and weight, until you reveal the real item with a shared on-screen animation.

Does ScryRPG track Bulk for Pathfinder 2e?

Yes. PF2e gear carries Bulk, and ScryRPG totals it against each character so you can see when someone is over, the way the rules expect.

Are PF2e character sheets fully supported?

Yes. Pathfinder 2e has full support: sheets with PF2e gear, Bulk-aware inventory, item starts, shops, loot, and containers, all in one campaign.

Can the whole party share loot and shops in PF2e?

Yes. Party loot, shops, containers, and character inventories live with the same party, so shared treasure is visible to everyone.

Does the PF2e support work in Discord?

Yes. Quick inventory checks run as Discord slash commands, and the web view stays in sync the moment anything changes.

Does the sheet use TEML proficiency and Focus Points?

Yes. Saves and all 16 skills use the TEML ladder, Trained, Expert, Master, Legendary, and the sheet tracks Class DC, Perception, Hero Points, and a Focus Points pool for focus spells. PF2e works in modifiers, so the sheet does too.

How does coin Bulk work in ScryRPG?

It is automatic. Individual coins are negligible, 1,000 coins of any type equal 1 Bulk, and ScryRPG totals coin Bulk across all of a character’s containers alongside their gear.

What does Daggerheart support include?

Full character sheets with Hope and Stress, Daggerheart currency, shared party inventory, shops, loot, and lore. There is no official item catalog under the community license, so the item library is what you and other GMs create, and your familiar can help draft it.

Why is there no official item catalog?

The Darrington Press Community Gaming License keeps official content with the publisher, and Daggerheart treats gear narratively anyway. ScryRPG ships the structure: the sheet, the party inventory, and a familiar that drafts items with you.

How does currency work for Daggerheart?

Prices read in gold, like the rest of ScryRPG. The SRD wealth ladder, from coins to chests, ships as real inventory items your party can hold, trade, and spend.

How do I build a Daggerheart item library if none ships?

You create items the same way you would for any system: the full item editor for detailed homebrew, forking to start from a community item, or asking your familiar to draft one in plain language. Each item is tagged to the system with a rarity and type, then lives in shared party inventory, shops, and loot.

Is this an official Darrington Press product?

No. ScryRPG is an independent product, Daggerheart Compatible under the Darrington Press Community Gaming License. We support the system because our tables play it, not because anyone asked us to.

What does Draw Steel support include?

The Draw Steel sheet shows Might, Agility, Reason, Intuition and Presence, Stamina, Recoveries, speed, stability and size. It also has skills and an Abilities tab. Custom items, shared party inventory, containers, notes and lore work with your campaign.

How does inventory weight work for Draw Steel?

Draw Steel abstracts carrying capacity in its rules, so ScryRPG keeps weight-based inventory optional. It is on by default for tables that want to manage gear, and you can switch it off to match the system.

Can my familiar answer Draw Steel rules questions?

It helps you think things through from your notes, party, and inventory, drawing on the campaign your table built. You keep the final call on how the rules apply.

Does the Draw Steel sheet use Stamina and Characteristics?

Yes. The sheet shows Might, Agility, Reason, Intuition and Presence, a Stamina pool in place of Hit Points, and Recoveries. Supernatural powers go in the Abilities tab.

Can my players manage their own Draw Steel gear?

Yes. Players keep their own sheets and inventory, claim their own loot, and shop the stores you stock, while you stay in control of GM tools.

Which systems have full character sheets?

D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart and Draw Steel have dedicated character sheets, with party inventory, shops, loot and currency. Draw Steel shows Characteristics, Stamina and Recoveries. D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e also ship seeded item starts; Daggerheart keeps items yours to create.

My system is not listed. Can I still use ScryRPG?

Yes. Lore, party, notes, characters, custom items, inventory, and your familiar work for any table. You get the campaign home now, and we add full system support by request.

Can I request full support for another system?

Yes. We add full sheets and item data to more systems by request. Start a campaign today and tell us which system your table wants supported next.

How ScryRPG compares

Other tools are good at what they do. The short version: you can do nearly all of it here, connected, with a free tier, and only a couple of things are worth keeping a specialist for.

Do you work with my VTT?

ScryRPG runs alongside any VTT. Foundry VTT is in closed beta by invitation. Patrons get an invitation; anyone can ask in our Discord.

How is ScryRPG different from a worldbuilding wiki like World Anvil or Kanka?

It connects worldbuilding to play. ScryRPG has a living lore graph, people, places, factions, items, and threads with wiki-style links and GM-only secrets, and unlike a standalone wiki it is wired into the inventory, loot, shops, characters, and the familiar your table uses, on the web and in Discord, with a free forever tier. World Anvil and Kanka are excellent at one thing ScryRPG does not aim for: publishing a large, public-facing encyclopedia for readers, with deep article authoring. If your goal is to publish a world for an audience, keep that. If your goal is to run a connected campaign, you can build and link your whole world right here.

Can I just use ChatGPT to run my game?

A general AI is great for open-ended brainstorming, and your familiar handles that too. The difference is grounding and reach. ChatGPT does not have your party's live inventory, shops, and lore unless you paste them in, and it cannot change them in your campaign; your familiar answers from your actual campaign, the gold a character is carrying, the debt an NPC still holds, the thread you left open last session, and it acts when you ask. Your familiar works the way you want it to. Keep it as an advisor that answers questions about your campaign, make it a copilot that drafts changes for you to approve, or hand it the books as a co-manager that makes everyday changes for you and checks with you before anything big. You can change its role any time. And it lives where the campaign lives, reading and acting on the same inventory, shops, loot, and lore, instead of a chat window you copy and paste from. The AI is built in, grounded in your world, and free to ask.

Do I still need a separate VTT or rules tool?

Use your own battlemap and rules tools for tactical combat. ScryRPG keeps your campaign, characters, inventory, shops, loot and lore together. The Foundry beta connects characters, inventory, coins, shops and loot; lore and encounters are not in this version. Foundry VTT is in closed beta by invitation. Patrons get an invitation; anyone can ask in our Discord.

Is ScryRPG worth it next to the subscriptions I pay for?

It replaces a stack you would otherwise stitch together: a general AI subscription, a worldbuilding wiki, a character-tools plan, and the glue between them. Inventory, characters, worldbuilding, loot, shops, Discord play, and a campaign-grounded familiar are one place, and the free forever tier covers the whole campaign for your table with no card required. Paid plans mostly add AI usage and scale; the only plan extras are the two table programs and Patron's custom card backs, so a free table is a full table and not a trial. You can run a full campaign before you ever decide to pay.

What if I am switching from another tool?

Bring your world with you. Export your notes or a PDF from wherever your campaign lives now, drop it into import, and review the people, places, items, and threads ScryRPG pulls out before any of it is saved. You start here with your real campaign connected, not an empty page.

Your data

Who owns your campaign, who can see it, and what we do with it.

Can players see my GM notes?

No. GM-only pages stay hidden until you reveal them, and the GM notes on a page never show to players, even after you reveal it.

Is my campaign really mine?

Yes. Cancel any time, and take your inventory with you. Only GMs and managers can export campaign lore as an Obsidian ZIP; players cannot request or download that export. We do not sell your campaign, and we do not use it to train our own AI models. When a feature you use needs an outside AI provider, we send only what that feature requires, and our privacy policy names every provider we use and what each one does with your content.

Who can see my campaign?

Access follows your party. GMs and players see what their role allows, so GM-only notes stay with the GM and party-visible knowledge reaches the table. You decide who is in the party.

Do you keep my session recordings?

No. A recording is kept only long enough to turn it into a transcript, including retries if the first pass fails, then it is deleted. The transcript stays for you to read, edit, and turn into campaign updates. The original audio does not.

Discord and the marketplace

Running your campaign in chat, and building on shared GM work.

Do my players need Discord?

No. Everything works in your browser on any phone or computer. Discord is there if your table lives in it.

What can I do from Discord, and is it the same campaign?

Run the table work that belongs in chat: check party inventory, move items and coin, browse a shop, claim loot, look up a character, and ask your familiar a question. Discord and the web reach one campaign, not two, so a change made on the web is there the next time you run a command. The deeper work, like importing notes and building lore, lives in the web app where there is room for it.

Does the bot record voice sessions?

No. Session recordings come from files you upload in the web app. The bot does not join voice channels or record calls. The invite requests Use Application Commands. Commands that post publicly also need View Channel and Send Messages in that channel; campaign log posts need Embed Links too. It does not request Administrator, Connect or Speak.

What is in the marketplace, and can I change it?

The Marketplace is where ScryRPG keeps its premade shops and loot tables, the reference items, spells and creatures of D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Draw Steel, and the shops GMs choose to share. Browse it free, fork a copy and make it yours. Find one that almost fits, pull it in, then tune the names, prices, and art until it suits your table. Anything you pull in is a starting point, not a fixed rule, and you can build and share your own shops, loot, and items too. Browse the marketplace.

How do I join the Foundry beta?

Foundry VTT is in closed beta by invitation. Patrons get an invitation; anyone can ask in our Discord. Every player signs in with their own ScryRPG account.

What does the Foundry module do today?

The beta keeps linked characters, inventory, containers, the party stash, coins, shops, loot, the Library, Activity and History with undo in step with ScryRPG.

Does it sync lore and encounters?

Not yet. Lore, journals and encounters are not in this beta version.

Which systems does it support?

D&D 5e on Foundry 13 or 14.

What permissions does the Discord bot need?

Adding the bot asks only for permission to use its slash commands. A few commands post in the channel, like /roll, /show and need or greed ballots, so the bot also needs to see and post in that channel.

How does the bot know which party I mean?

Each player's commands use their own party: the one they pick, or their active character's party. A server is not tied to one party, so two tables can share a server.

Do players need a ScryRPG account first?

No. Running /inventory for the first time creates their account and a starter character. They join your party with /party and your join code, and can sign in on the web with Discord any time.

Does Discord stay in sync with the web?

Changes made in Discord update your campaign: gives and shop purchases show up live on the party pages, other changes on the next refresh. Discord replies are snapshots of the moment you asked.

Are the items and shops free?

Browsing, forking and creating templates by hand is free on every plan. Deploying has plan limits: Free includes 1 shop deployed at a time and 3 loot drops a month. Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

What does it mean to fork something?

Forking makes a private, editable copy. Change its name, stock or rules to suit your table. The original stays unchanged. Sign in, open the record and choose Fork. Loot tables and items keep their source lineage; shops do not.

Which systems does the Marketplace cover?

The shelves include D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Draw Steel items, spells, abilities, creatures and encounters, plus premade shops and loot tables. Daggerheart reference records are available where the shelf supports that system.

How does my published work reach other GMs?

Set a template’s visibility to Public to make it available for other GMs to browse and fork. Keep work Private while it is for your own table. Deploying a shop or loot table is a separate action: choose a party you GM. It arrives hidden until you reveal it.

The fastest answer is to try it.

Make a free account, bring in a few notes, and ask your familiar a question about your own campaign.
