A shared campaign manager for tabletop RPGs: gear, shops, loot, characters and lore your table can use on the web and in Discord.

Shops your party buys from

See the feature
Can players shop between sessions?

Once a GM deploys and reveals a stocked shop, players can browse, buy and sell on the web or in Discord without the GM present.

Who pays, and where does the item land?

On the web, the payer follows the destination: a character purchase uses that character's coins; a purchase into the party stash uses party funds. A Discord purchase uses party funds and sends the item to the party stash.

How are prices set?

Shop markup, buyback rate and discount set the defaults. Individual stock entries can override the shop pricing. Selling pays from the shop’s funds.

Can the last item sell twice?

Stock is checked when a purchase completes, so competing purchases cannot both take the last item.

How does restocking work?

Stock can re-roll on a schedule or by the GM. Restocking replaces the shelves from the stock list. The web Restock button checks what is due; it cannot force an early restock. Load the shop again to see scheduled restocks.

Do players see new shops immediately?

A deployed shop starts hidden. The GM reveals it when the party is ready.

Shared gear, with permissions

See the feature
Who can see and move gear?

Players see accessible character gear and the party stash. They can give from their own characters and the stash, but cannot take from another player’s character. Private containers are visible to their owner and party operators.

What updates live between web and Discord?

Inventory changes, including a Discord /give, update connected web inventories live. Discord panels are snapshots: run the command again for fresh contents. Loot lists, shop restocks and activity views can require a reload or reopening; a saved change does not mean every open panel refreshes.

How is carrying capacity calculated?

Carrying capacity is a number you set per character, not a value calculated from Strength. Track weight, slots, both, or Pathfinder 2e Bulk. Enforcement is optional; container limits still apply when an encumbrance mode is on.

Can the GM hide an item’s identity?

Yes. An unidentified item keeps its mystery presentation until the GM identifies it. With Dramatic reveal enabled, viewers on party pages see the reveal and each dismisses it.

Reveal a hoard and share it out

See the feature
How does a loot drop work?

A GM builds a loot table with drop chances and quantity ranges. Deploying rolls a hoard that starts hidden. The GM reveals it, and players claim items into an eligible character container or the party stash.

Which distribution modes are available?

The Distribute dialog offers Round Robin, Random and Value Balanced. Open claiming and Need/Greed voting are separate ways to hand out loot; voters choose Need, Greed or Pass.

Are claims recorded?

Claims are recorded in party Activity. Open or reload the activity view to read the record; the loot page’s Activity tab does not update live.

Can loot be attached to an encounter?

Yes. Ending the encounter deploys attached loot if the plan has a loot drop left. Encounter loot arrives revealed and uses a loot deployment.

Build and prepare a fight

See the feature
Which bestiaries and difficulty rules are available?

Bestiaries and difficulty math exist for D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Draw Steel. New encounters start as D&D 5e.

What does the difficulty meter use?

The party size and level you enter, together with the creature roster. Its labels run from Trivial through Easy, Medium and Hard to Deadly. Terrain, tactics and luck still matter.

How do creature counts and initiative work?

Monster quantities can be ranges, resolved when deployed. Initiative is rolled for creatures. Players add their own initiative; the server does not roll for every player character.

What do players see?

After the GM reveals a fight, players see initiative and creature health bands rather than exact monster hit points.

Does preparing a fight use a deployment?

Building encounters by hand is unlimited. Preparing an encounter onto a party uses a deployment, even when it starts hidden. Monthly encounter deployments: Free: 3; Player: 6; GM: Unlimited; Patron: Unlimited. Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

What does the XP total include?

Every monster in the fight counts toward the XP total, including monsters that were not defeated. Ending a fight can also deploy its attached loot, subject to the loot limit.

A campaign wiki you share with your party

See the feature
What belongs in lore?

Connected pages for NPCs, locations, factions, quests, handouts, sessions and other campaign knowledge. Clues can be written into those pages; they are not a separate lore type.

How do secrets and reveals work?

GM Only pages stay private until revealed. GM Notes remain private within a shared page. Players see the pages and fields their role permits; reopen a page to read later edits.

The players’ view

See the feature
What can a player do?

Join a party, manage their character and accessible gear, shop, claim revealed loot and read shared lore. Player views leave out GM-only lore, hidden shops and exact monster hit points.

Which character sheets are supported?

D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Daggerheart and Draw Steel have system-specific sheets inside the campaign.

See supported systems
What are the free player limits?

Free covers 1 joined party and 1 active character. The Player plan offers unlimited joined parties and unlimited active characters. A party a Patron sponsors doesn't count against your caps.

Printable cards and reusable decks

See the feature
What can I print?

Items, spells, abilities, creature references, NPC handouts and encounter overviews. Print a sheet or export PDF, PNG or ZIP. Encounters can collect their overview, permitted creatures and attached loot; shops and inventories can collect their permitted item contents.

Can a complete stat block fit?

Table Reference keeps essential mechanics on a bounded face. Full Rules can continue authorized text across numbered faces.

Are QR links required?

No. QR links are optional. They open the online entry for an authorized viewer and do not make private campaign material public.

What does printing cost?

Manual card creation, printing and export are available on every plan. Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

How many decks can I save?

Saved deck limits: Free: 1; Player: 10; GM: Unlimited; Patron: Unlimited. Patron includes custom party card backs. Printing and export remain available when a deck cannot be saved.

The Marketplace

See the feature
What is in the Marketplace?

The Marketplace is where ScryRPG keeps its premade shops and loot tables, the reference items, spells and creatures of D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e and Draw Steel, and the shops GMs choose to share. Browse it free, fork a copy and make it yours.

How does a copy enter my campaign?

Sign in and fork a copy in the app. Shops, loot and encounters use Deploy to Party; an item can be added to a character’s inventory. Deployments follow the plan’s limits.

On your phone

See the feature
Is there a phone app?

ScryRPG is an installable progressive web app. Open the website in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen. There is no app-store download and no push notification support.

The same campaign in Discord

See the feature
Does the bot use a separate campaign?

The web and Discord read and change the same campaign. Run a command again to refresh its panel.

Which commands are available?

The command reference lists the registered commands and their options.

Read the Discord command reference
Do players need an account first?

Discord can create an account when a player first uses a command. They can link web access later.

Does the bot record voice?

No. Upload a session recording through the web app; the bot does not listen to Discord voice channels.

Your familiar

How your familiar works
How does your familiar work?

Your familiar works the way you want it to. Keep it as an advisor that answers questions about your campaign, make it a copilot that drafts changes for you to approve, or hand it the books as a co-manager that makes everyday changes for you and checks with you before anything big. You can change its role any time.

What does familiar work cost?

Every plan includes monthly AI usage for your familiar, imports and art. Paid plans include more, and it resets each month.

Is the familiar required?

No. You can run the campaign by hand and turn the familiar off.

Bring your notes and recordings

See the feature
Which files can I import?

Paste text or upload Markdown, TXT, PDFs, CSV, XLSX, compatible JSON or a ZIP such as an Obsidian vault. Word .docx files are not supported. Session recordings are uploaded separately in the web app.

When does imported content join the campaign?

Review the extracted records and visibility before confirming. A GM or manager approves an audio transcript before it goes through the importer.

Do imports count toward AI usage?

Yes. Imports read your files with AI, so they count toward your monthly AI usage. If an import fails on our end, it doesn't count.
