ScryRPG + Foundry VTT In closed beta

Prep in ScryRPG. One command puts it on the table in Foundry.

The campaign you keep in ScryRPG lands in Foundry ready to run: lore, characters, shops, loot, inventory, and whole encounters as actors, tokens, and initiative.

Bring your own maps and modules. ScryRPG connects to your Foundry world; it doesn't replace it.

A deployed encounter in ScryRPG: initiative order and hit point tracking, the state the Foundry module materializes on the table
The deployed encounter in ScryRPG. In the closed beta, the module turns this into actors, tokens with the creatures' art, and rolled initiative in Foundry.

One connection

What flows onto the table

Link your Foundry world to your party once, and the campaign you keep in ScryRPG is there when the table logs in. Nothing gets retyped, and nothing gets copied by hand.

Characters

Your party's sheets, as lightweight actors your table can reference at a glance.

Inventory

Party and character inventory, ownership and all, without retyping a single sword.

Shops and loot

The shop you stocked and the hoard you built, browsable from inside the game view.

Lore and notes

The campaign record at the table, filtered to what each viewer is allowed to know.

Encounters

Deploy in ScryRPG and Foundry fills in: one actor per creature, tokens carrying their art, a combat tracker with initiative rolled.

Live updates

Reveal a hoard or end a fight in ScryRPG and the table finds out. One campaign, wherever you look at it.

Encounters

Deploy the whole fight in one command

Build the encounter in ScryRPG: monsters from the bestiary, difficulty math, the loot attached. When your table meets in Foundry, deploy. Actors appear in a ScryRPG folder, tokens land with the creatures' art, and the combat tracker fills in with initiative rolled server-side. End the fight in ScryRPG and the loot drops for the party to claim.

GM truth, player truth

Your secrets stay yours

The GM's Foundry sees GM truth. Player clients see player truth: revealed encounters with health bands instead of numbers, identified items only, and none of your GM notes. Hidden things never reach a player's machine at all. The filtering happens on the server, not in the module, so there's nothing to misconfigure.

We didn't build a worse battlemap

Foundry is where the fight plays out. ScryRPG is where the campaign lives. The module connects the two so prep flows onto the table and nothing gets copied by hand. Bring your own maps; we'll bring everything else.

Setup

Connected in three steps

  1. 1

    Install the ScryRPG module

The module is in closed beta: join the beta on Discord and we'll get you set up. The steps are in the install guide.

  2. 2

    Connect your party

A one-time code links your Foundry world to your ScryRPG party. Roles carry over: the GM connects as the GM, players as themselves.

  3. 3

    Sync

The campaign arrives, organized under a ScryRPG folder. Deploy encounters whenever the table is ready.

Foundry integration comes with the GM tier at launch. During the closed beta, it's open to testers. See pricing

Foundry FAQ

Quick answers.

More on pricing, systems, and your data lives on the full FAQ.

Is ScryRPG trying to be a VTT?

No. ScryRPG preps and deploys the encounter. Your table runs the battle wherever it likes, and if that's Foundry, the module hands the fight over ready to run. We keep the campaign; the battlemap is yours.

What do my players see in Foundry?

What their characters would know. Revealed encounters with health bands instead of exact hit points, identified items, and the lore they can see on the web. The server filters every payload per viewer.

Does Foundry write back to my campaign?

Campaign data flows one way, into Foundry, so the module can never corrupt your source of truth. Writeback is coming carefully, starting with shop purchases.

What about other VTTs?

Foundry first. Owlbear is on our list, and the integration layer underneath is built to carry more than one table surface.

Your campaign, on the table.

Connect your Foundry world and the prep you keep in ScryRPG walks onto the table with you: the party, the shops, the lore, and the fight itself.
